The award is given to the student with high academic achievement and a demonstrated commitment to public libraries. Frequency: The award is given annually in May at the School of Information Management award reception.   Procedure: The School of Information Management provides the Past President with the recipient’s name. The recipient receives a certificate of accomplishment, a one-year free membership to NSLA, and a financial donation to be decided annually.   Presentation: A member of the NSLA Board of Directors will present the award at awards reception.
