Rural Services Interest Group
The aim of the Rural Libraries Interest Group (RLIG) is to provide a forum to discuss rural service issues.
Goals:
- To establish contact between those serving rural populations throughout the province.
- To increase awareness of rural service issues.
- To provide support to staff working in rural services.
- To promote the role of staff working in rural services.
- To cooperate with other related groups.
- To participate as a group at the NSLA annual conference.
Membership:
To be a recognized interest group member within NSLA, the group must consist of no less than three members in good standing of NSLA. Individuals or groups who have a similar interest may work with the interest group, even if not members of NSLA.
Reports:
A report is submitted to the NSLA Vice-President for presentation at the NSLA Annual General meeting. If funding has been given to the interest group, a financial statement should accompany the report.
